The quilt for Scott was designed and sewed by Barbara Bussa of Seattle, Washington. I learned of her name when we went to view the quilt in October of 2002 at Pier 93 in Manhattan. A quilt for every person who perished that day was done by thousands of volunteers who took the time to sew the quilt and send it in, so it could be sewed together. I was able to get Barbara’s e mail and over the last ten years we have constantly written to each other and have become friends. Since that day, the entire quilt has toured the United States.
